Our Findings
Every day across America, teachers see the unfortunate effects of childhood hunger. 65% of America's teachers regularly see kids who come to school hungry because they aren't getting enough to eat at home. Many of these teachers buy food with their own money to compensate. With Hunger in Our Schools: Share Our Strength's Teachers Report, we are sharing their unique perspective on this American crisis with a formal national survey of teachers and their experience with hunger, and providing a toolkit of actions that you can take in your community.
