Stella Artois Sponsors Share Our Strength's Taste of the Nation and A Tasteful Pursuit

Share Our Strength's Premier Culinary Events to Feature Belgian Beers Stella Artois, Hoegaarden and Leffe

Share Our Strength®, the national organization working to end hunger in America, announced today that Stella Artois will be the official beer sponsor of Share Our Strength's Taste of the Nation® and A Tasteful Pursuit® events in 2009.

With strong support from the culinary industry, including the country's hottest chefs and top echelon restaurants, Taste of the Nation and A Tasteful Pursuit events provide discerning diners with unparalleled cuisine and fine beverages, while raising funds to support Share Our Strength's mission.

"Share Our Strength has one of the most sophisticated food event calendars in the nation, drawing thousands of people each year," said Paul Byrne, product manager, Stella Artois. "Our sponsorship allows us to showcase the affinity between fine foods and Belgian beers to culinary enthusiasts and top chefs, in a way that excites the epicurean community."

Throughout the various dinners and receptions during Taste of the Nation and A Tasteful Pursuit, guests can visit the Belgian Beer Café to learn firsthand about Stella Artois, Hoegaarden and Leffe and why these beers are a natural fit for elevating the dining experience. Attendees also will be educated on pairing Belgian beers and food, selecting proper glassware and how to pour the perfect beer.

Stella Artois is a classic Belgian lager, golden in color with exceptional clarity and a spicy hop character. Hoegaarden is the Original Belgian White Beer, featuring a unique, refreshing flavor and spicy nose. Leffe Blonde is an authentic and respected Belgian "Abbey" beer, a category almost exclusive to Belgium. Brewed in Belgium, Stella Artois, Hoegaarden and Leffe will be available at more than 40 Share Our Strength events in 2009.
