The city’s top chefs, including esteemed honorary co-chairs Jose Garces of Garces Restaurant Group and Marc Vetri of Vetri, Osteria, & The Vetri Foundation For Children, along with a myriad of culinary pros, came together to take a bite out of childhood hunger on August 17, when Taste of the Nation returned to Philadelphia’s Loews.

Attendees had the opportunity to sample a copious array of culinary excellence from the city’s best restaurants, specialty cocktails created by mixologists from APO Bar + Lounge, select wine and beers from Stella Artois, Hoegaarden and Leffe.

In addition to a bounty of culinary delights, Taste of the Nation featured silent and live auctions, giving guests the opportunity to bid on exceptional items including restaurant experiences and unique gifts.

Local beneficiaries included Philabundance, Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger, The Food Trust, and the Pennsylvania Hunger Action Center.
