On the Brink of Change after 25 Years of Fighting Hunger
From the kick-off plenary session in which we shared our plan to end childhood hunger in America, to the inspiring speeches during the Leadership Awards ceremony and the dozens of workshops that addressed timely issues, Share Our Strength's 25th Anniversary Conference of Leaders strengthened our ties and our resolve to end childhood hunger in America by 2015.

Awards Dinner
Aaron McCargo accepted Share Our Strength's Plate of Honor for his dedicated support as Share Our Strength's 2009 Great American Dine Out Spokesperson. He shared his personal experiences of growing up in a community facing hunger and talked of his parents' sacrifices to provide for him and his brothers and sisters in a talk filled with humor, love, and inspiration.
Dozens of other tireless volunteers including chefs, corporate leaders, business owners, policymakers, and community leaders were honored as well. Read more »
Information Sharing
Throughout Saturday and Monday, participants had dozens of informative presentations to attend. Sessions addressed issues as varied as links between hunger and obesity; getting into the social media conversation; increasing community access to fresh produce, and success stories in the fight against hunger.
