We want to introduce our community to more of these chefs, so we’re starting an ongoing interview series that features these chef advocates. The next in our series is Chef Tim McKee. As a winner of the 2009 James Beard Award for Best Chef Midwest, Chef Tim McKee is one of the most recognized and respected chefs throughout the Upper Midwest. He is the Chef Chair for the Taste of the Nation Committee in Minneapolis.

Taste of the Nation Turns Up the Heat In Washington DC [ No comments]

On April 4th, thousands of supporters wishing to end childhood hunger in America gathered at the National Building Museum at Share Our Strength’s annual Taste of the Nation Washington, D.C. Share Our Strength’s Taste of The Nation is one of the organizations most highly anticipated fundraisers of the year. Attendees can sample a variety of small plates, speak to their favorite chefs, and watch the live competition between chefs. Over 40 cities across the United States hold their own Taste of the Nation event featuring local chefs and mixologists.

Chefs to the Rescue: RJ Cooper and Rogue Sessions [ No comments]

This week, we’re holding one of our closest supporters in our thoughts as James Beard Award–winning Chef RJ Cooper underwent open-heart surgery to correct a genetic heart defect. The great news is that RJ is out of surgery and on the road to recovery.
