Summer Meals: I ate them, too!
Jul 2, 2012: Many of the stories that you hear focus on single-parent families, because these homes are most frequently on the frontlines of the battle against child hunger in America. The story seldom told is the one of two adults, both of whom work, and STILL struggle to feed their families.

Food, Friends, and Fun at Florida’s Summer BreakSpots
Jun 4, 2012: Last week officially kicked off the Summer Meals Road Trip. I went back to one of my favorite places from my childhood – Orlando, Florida – home to Disney World. Lot of happy memories from my family’s summer vacations there – the 3D hilarity of the Muppets, feeling motion sick on the Star Wars ride, getting to meet the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the thrill of jetting down the water slides at Typhoon Lagoon. Unfortunately, those kinds of carefree memories aren’t the frame of reference for far too many kids in Florida.
