Shopping Matters in Baltimore [ No comments]

A pastor, a university professor, and a mother and baby walk into Walmart. That’s not the beginning of a joke; it was the scene at Walmart in the Port Covington neighborhood in Baltimore earlier this week. It was the unofficial “Shopping Matters Day” in Baltimore, when 70 people came out to learn how to buy health y food on a limited budget.

Cooking Matters Annual Summit [ 2 comments]

When families gather at the table to eat, it is a special event. Coming together for a meal means sitting and talking, sharing and learning and just plain re-connecting. The entire Cooking Matters Family comes together just once a year and our mealtime table is a conference called Annual Summit. Last week Cooking Matters’ meal was in Detroit, MI, home to one of our partners, Gleaners Community Food Bank.
