How Kids Can Help No Kid Hungry
Jun 22, 2012: My mom is always asking me to clean out my room and get rid of anything I don’t play with anymore. I realized I wasn’t using my American Girl dolls so I decided to sell my American girl dolls and make money for the Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign. I told my mom my plan and she was really happy to hear that I wanted to do this so we took pictures of everything and went online to Craig’s list . We posted the pictures and some information about the items and said the price was $500 and all of the money would be going to Share Our Strength. Within a few hours we got a phone call and before we knew it, we had sold the entire collection to a little girl on Long Island whose mom was also really happy to be helping us raise money for No Kid Hungry.

A warm welcome to No Kid Hungry Michigan!
May 17, 2012: Last week, Michigan joined the No Kid Hungry Campaign during an exciting kick off at a Detroit elementary school. It’s impressive from the outside (including a great school garden), but then you are moved by how new, clean, and colorful the space is once you enter.
