Coming Together to Bear Witness to the Reality of Hunger in Arkansas [ 2 comments]

On Tuesday, several Share Our Strength staff members were in Little Rock, Arkansas leading a Hinges of Hope tour sponsored by Tyson Foods, Inc. This event engaged Walmart, Governor Mike Beebe, The First Lady of Arkansas, Arby’s, and state/federal legislators and was a unique opportunity to bear witness to the reality of hunger in Arkansas and discuss how this group of leaders can help feed more kids in Arkansas.

Tackling a Texas-Sized Problem: Visiting Our Partners in Dallas [ 1 comment]

According to the USDA, Texas has the second highest food insecurity rate out of all the states. Last Wednesday, seven members of the Share Our Strength staff and twenty-eight leaders spent the day bearing witness to the realities of hunger in Texas and exploring together what it would take to end childhood in this state.
