Breakfast, the most important meal of the day, was the focus of the Connecticut School Breakfast Summit, the state’s first statewide conference on the School Breakfast Program. Specifically, the event focused on how to make school breakfast more accessible to all students in Connecticut. Governor Dannel P. Malloy joined the Summit as the keynote speaker to show his support for the School Breakfast Program. Special guest Food Network's Chopped Judge, Chef Marc Murphy, was joined by CTs “lunch ladies” that appeared on an episode of Chopped last season. Murphy set the stage for the day by speaking about how we can all do our part to make certain students are getting school breakfast.
