Our Children Deserve Better
Aug 23, 2012: As children across America return to school, there is no better time for us all to reaffirm our commitment to providing kids with nutritious school meals. It is fitting that Share Our Strength has just released Hunger in Our Schools, our 2012 Teachers Report, which lays out in no uncertain terms the impact of the nationwide epidemic of hunger in our schools.

We wanted to share with you one smiling face of a child who is benefiting from this work. She attends the summer meals program at the San Carlos Community Center in the Rio Grande Valley, where team members serve breakfast and lunch to 100 kids every day.
