About A Tasteful Pursuit

Learn more about the touring dinner series with the country's top chefs.

Share Our Strength's A Tasteful Pursuit was initiated by Chef Bradford Thompson in 2004 and is now in its fifth year. Renowned chefs travel around the country to various restaurants and cities participating in multi-course dinners to support ending childhood hunger in America. Guests are treated to an amazing meal and have a chance to get to know Share Our Strength and the participating chefs.

• Enjoy a delicious glass of champagne while perusing a display of wines and culinary items in the silent auction.
• Sit at your table for a tasty amuse bouche prepared by an award winning chef.
• Learn about Share Our Strength's work and maybe even meet Founder Billy Shore.
• Compare your taste in wines with your friends as you try a different wine with each course.
• Listen to each chef describe the ingredients and preparation of the dishes you're enjoying.

Why We are Focusing on Childhood Hunger

In the world's wealthiest nation, no child should grow up hungry. Yet, over the course of the year, nearly 17 million children in America face hunger. That's almost one in four with limited or uncertain access to the nutritious foods they need to develop to their full potential.

Poverty is complex; feeding a child is not. Despite the good efforts of governments, private-sector institutions and everyday Americans, not all of our children have daily access to the nutritious meals they need to live active, healthy lives. Through dedicated, committed volunteers and community organizations, Share Our Strength finds childhood hunger where it hides, and works to end it.
